Pre-workout snack
Pretzels, turkey pepperoni, cheese... idk if this is the best before a workout but it looks like something a healthy person would eat right? Lol
Workout = results
I'm on track y'all. Its been a rough semester but I'm still moving forward. Currently at a solid 164 which is not ideal (goal was 160 by December 20) but I am finally learning how to eat clean while in college. Its hard but I think I've got it! Although its only been -3 since August, at least its not +3 right?? Either way I feel good and feel stronger which is more important than weight/scale anyway!

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH: smoooooooothies :)
homemade smoothies: strawberry and any other fruit or veggie i can find. add greek yogurt and aloe vera juice, a tad of regular juice or honey for sweetness and that's about it. It is really good and keeps me satisfied from 11am (when I have breakfast) until after class, 4pm. Then i snack and eat a full-on dinner. By replacing 2 unhealthy meals with these healthy, clean, and natural smoothie meals a day (i do this max 5 times a week) i've lost a majority of weight and i feel lighter (less weighed down by heavy/bad foods)

fitness bootcamp, London, and -(negative) 20 lbs...
The Transformers is a super amazing fitness organization that I workout out with while I was in London for 6 months: (URL: http://www.thetransformers.com)
I used to attend their FREE boot camps on Saturday and Sunday mornings because I wanted to get in shape and meet people. Let me tell you I was NOT fit, and the workouts killed me (figuratively)! But oddly, I completed the boot camps every time I went and felt motivated to come back and get killed the next day. I am not sure why, but I am guessing it has to do with the great coaches and friendly people that kept me going.
Now, I am not completely contributing my successes in London to The Transformers--it was a combination of better food, more walking than driving, and being busy--but I can definitely say The Transformers had a hand in my 20 lbs/9 kg/1.4 stone weight loss during those 6 months.
Unfortunately, my stay in London was short and I was unable to get a proper membership with The Transformers. I am sure if I did, I would be even more successful now. Nonetheless, I recommend those in the central London area check out their FREE early morning weekend boot camps and YouTube channel.
And for those of us too far away from London and obviously doomed for life--DON'T LOOSE HOPE! Try to find a similar fitness organization in your area. I found The Transformers on MeetUp (URL: http://www.meetup.com) which is a great site for finding people in your area doing cool and fun things.

On Body Image:: MyBodyGallery.com
I grew up with a distorted view of my weight. Weighing 190 lbs. and being obese according to my BMI made me believe I was huge. I thought I was so disgusting and must have just looked like a fat slob to everyone who saw me. The weird part was that looking in the mirror, I never really though I looked that big--just more athletic I guess. I was insecure and in denial at the same time. So my response was to continue doing what I did before--I ate as before, I was still very sedentary, and my self-esteem continued to drop. My weight has always been a very confusing part of my life. Since I didn't know where I stood, I didn't know how to proceed.
So one day i just Googled "what does 190 lbs. and 5'4 look like" and the website mybodygallery.com came up. It was the answer to my dreams! The website allowed me to put in perspective what I possibly looked like. Seeing the images of the women allowed me to almost see myself from outside of myself and was really the pushing motivator that jump started my fitness journey.
Not only did I use the site to imagine myself, but I used it also to help me guide my goals. I would generate different searches of women at different weights and determine how I would like to see myself--sort of like inspiration of what I could be. It helps me realize that my original goal weight (inspired by society) was too skinny for me and not how I wanted to look.
I really love and appreciate this website. It allow women and girls to have a more realistic view of their bodies. Although I do believe this website is a great starting guideline, I still advise onlookers to remember, everyone is built differently!
So, now I am going to upload my image to My Body Gallery so hopefully I can help another struggling girl to have a more realistic view of their body and hopefully to be an inspiration and motivation for someone else. Please, join me!

Snack: frozen grapes
Yummm. Alternative to ice cream (said no one ever... actually that's what the girl who told me to try them said...).
Jk, it's actually good though. It's just not ice cream...

BREAKFAST: oatmeal, fried egg, bacon
Hearty breakfast for a long day ehhh? The oatmeal by the way is the same as last time, with peanut butter, sultanas, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
I ate half of it before I could get a picture up so the eggs and bacon I found on google... no big deal though

STUDENTRECIPIES.COM
Just found an amazing website: http://studentrecipes.com/ There were so many recipes to follow and since it's geared towards students it is bound to be filled with quick, easy, and budget friendly meals. I do warn though it also includes ridiculous recipe/meal ideas that I presume only students would find as totally rational.
Take the Wotsit Crisp Sandwich for example...
LUNCH SALAD: with bacon, cheddar cheese, and sultanas
I just starting throwing things together that looked good. I think visual appeal is an important component to good food. I hope it tastes as good as it looks!!!
BREAKFAST SANDWICH: Pita, egg, bacon, salad, cheddar cheese sandwich
BREAKFAST SANDWICH: Pita, egg, bacon, salad, cheddar cheese sandwich. I had this with a cuppa peppermint tea :)

couldn't resist!
went for round 2, same details as before...
to be fair this is a good food blog not a diet blog... bear with me people
DINNER SANDWICH: Pita, chicken salad, cheddar cheese, and salad cream sandwich
Pita, chicken salad, cheddar cheese, and salad cream sandwich... made by me... yum :)
sandwich is about the size of my palm, idk if this is sufficient... i'll drink it with tea and we'll see how this goes
1 litre of water
I drank 1 litre of water through the course of the day... needs to be multiplied by two eventually
luurrrvvee guuuuud fuuuuuud
I love trying different foods, cooking, and eating in general (nothing to be ashamed of people!).
But unfortunately I am a junk food junkie mindlessly wasting calories on bad food when I could be eating really good food.
So, I am starting my healthy life style change so I can reverse that, eat good and healthy food, and feel great!
I will (try to) post pictures of everything I eat so I can really see what junk I'm eating and how much of it and eventually I will go from eating bad, useless food, to REAL GOOD FOOD.
As the days, weeks, months, and years go by my blog will be the most amazing food blog (ambitious, I know) of things I've made, tried, or hope to try and also tips and tricks about food, health, and fitness but in the end, I just hope this journey will help me enjoy food more, and eat better food!
xx jojo
